The high-level consultation on renewing political commitment to food issues and operationalising the humanitarian-development-peace approach will be held on 26 July 2023 in Rome, Italy. This event is part of the first review meeting of the World Summit on Food Systems, organised by the United Nations and co-organised by the Sahel and West Africa Club (SWAC/OECD), the CILSS Executive Secretariat and the Global  Network against Food Crises, under the leadership of ECOWAS and UEMOA. Its aim is to give fresh impetus to mobilisation and political commitment to food and nutrition issues in the Sahel and West Africa. Its aim is twofold: 1) to take stock of the progress made on the Paris commitments on the operationalisation of the HDP nexus in the countries; 2) to renew the political commitment of the region’s players and their partners to speeding up the implementation of national HDP and food system transformation initiatives and strengthening their synergies.
