Statement by the spokesperson for FTP-AGIR Platform, EU during the opening ceremony of the RPCA restricted meeting, held on 8-9 April 2021, by Mr Philippe THOMAS, Team Leader Food and Agricultural Systems, Crisis and Resilience, International Partnerships Directorate, DEVCO/European Commission.

“27 million ! According to the most recent projections of the Cadre harmonisé, 27 million people might be at risk of acute food insecurity. during the next lean season. This means that they face a crisis situation that requires emergency assistance for their survival, that is to say say within the next two months.”
