As the 2019-20 pastoral campaign is coming to an end in the north of the coastal countries, the third issue of La Nouvelle, an information note on pastoralism and transhumance produced by CILSS, focuses on the negative effects of the ongoing health crisis. Covid-19 has seriously impacted agro-pastoral activities. The note includes information on the progress of agro-pastoral activities in several countries, the third promotion of students who completed a Masters’ programme in pastoralism, technological tools developed for monitoring the pastoral situation and markets, as well as a snapshot of regulatory texts for transhumance.
