This snapshot highlights key findings, drivers, facts & figures from the most recent Cadre harmonisé analysis on the food and nutrition situation in Nigeria.  Some 4 million people in Nigeria are estimated to be in immediate need of assistance (phases 3-5) in October-December 2019. The majority of people facing a food crisis are concentrated in the northeastern states of Adamawa (600 000 people), Borno (1.1 million people + 260 000 IDPs) and Yobe (950 000 people). Some areas of Borno state remain inaccessible for humanitarian acctors. By June-August 2020, some 5.9 million people will probably face a “Crisis” situation or worse (phases 3-5). The security situation in Nigeria remains volatile, affecting negatively the food and nutrition security, particularly in northeastern Nigeria.
