Pastoralisme News, April-May 2020 Download

Published : May 2020

This 7th issue of the monthly newsletter on pastoralism and transhumance in the Sahel and West Africa, produced by CILSS, takes stock of the agro-pastoral situation in April-May 2020. The agro-pastoral sector employs more than 25 million people and represents an important source of income in Sahelian countries. Heavily affected by the security crisis, the agro-pastoral sector is now also affected by the health crisis, thus reducing the income of all players of the agro-pastoral value chain. The activities of regional projects such as PREDIP, PRAPS, PEPISAO, PACBAO and many other initiatives are slowed down or suspended.
