Within the Global Alliance for Resilience (AGIR), Chad launched on 20 August 2014 an inclusive dialogue process for the elaboration of its national resilience priorities (NRP-AGIR). Chad’s NRP-AGIR report has four main sections: 1) analyse of the root causes of food and nutrition crises; 2) targets and vulnerable areas; 3) resilience priorities; 4) funding requirements. The analysis identified some 800 000 chronically vulnerable households (or 4.2 million people). The implementation of the NRP-AGIR should translate into a boost for the implementation of agro-sylvo-pastoral and fisheries development projects, in the areas of social protection, nutrition and the governance of food and nutritional security. Chad’s NRP-AGIR report was adopted at a national validation workshop on 6 April 2016.
