Sahel and West Africa: 42.5 million in crisis situation (phase 3-5) projection June-August 2023

The Cadre harmonisé estimates that 42.5 million people will be affected during the lean season between June and August. In addition, 107.5 million people would be under pressure, and could therefore fall into crisis in the event of shocks, particularly in Nigeria (64 million), Niger (7.3 million) and Burkina Faso (5.1 million).
