RPCA

Jointly funded by the European Union Emergency Trust Fund for Africa, the Spanish Agency for International Development Co-operation (AECID) and the Government of Senegal, the project aims to improve the resilience capacity of vulnerable populations in northern Senegal. It targets in particular the departments of Kanel, Matam, Podor and Ranérou, located along the border with Mauritania. Implemented by AECID and many local partners, the activities help build the capacity of local authorities and improve access to basic services for the population. The project is aligned with the first and second axis of the strategic orientations of the Emerging Senegal Plan (PSE) and reflects the priorities of the National Strategy for Food Security and Resilience (SNSAR) 2016-20. The programme contributes to developing accountability and increased transparency in the agriculture and food security sector.
