RPCA

Funded by the European Union Emergency Trust Fund for Africa, this programme targets vulnerable populations in the regions of Gao, Kidal, Mopti and Timbuktu. Within the Global Alliance for Resilience (AGIR) – Sahel and West Africa, this programme contributes to translating into practice the priorities identified by the Malian government in its “National Resilience Priorities” document (NRP-AGIR). It seeks to develop a multi-stakeholder and multi-sectoral partnership around a long-term vision involving all key stakeholders working towards strengthening resilience of vulnerable populations in northern Mali. It thus aims to make this partnership functional and effective by setting up a mechanism for co-ordinating, monitoring and evaluating the progress made in implementing the NRP-AGIR. This mechanism will be based on existing and new institutional mechanisms developed by the ministries in charge of food security, social protection and nutrition. The programme is being implemented by the NGOs SOS Sahel, Human & Inclusion and Oxford Committee for Famine Relief, in partnership with national, regional and local authorities of the northern regions of Mali.
