RPCA

Funded by the European Union Emergency Trust Fund for Africa with a contribution from the Federal Ministry for Economic Co-operation and Development of Germany (BMZ), the project targeted vulnerable populations in two strategic corridors of Chad (East and West). By intervening mainly in these vital corridors for the socio-economic development of the country, the ultimate goal of the PRCPT project was to contribute to the eradication of the main reasons for illegal migration. The project notably contributed to increasing resilience and improving economic opportunities. It also contributed to reducing cross-border destabilising factors through the implementation of local and communal development plans. One of the main priorities was the involvement of women. Women are often excluded from the distribution of resources and from civic and political participation. The promotion of young women took place in most of the project intervention areas within the framework of the current cultural and social context.
