The Sahel biomass production bulletin, produced by the NGO Action Against Hunger (ACF), is an evaluation of the quality of the crop production season in the Sahelian zone of West Africa (Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal ). It presents a map of the overall biomass production calculated over the growing season and the rainy season in the Sahel. The analysis is based on biophysical parameters obtained from satellite images as well as the climatic parameters of temperature and solar irradiance. The document also presents rainfall and inter-annual production variations by country.
