This first regional report on food and nutrition security in the Sahel and West Africa was produced by CILSS and its partners within the framework of the Programme for “Improving the regional governance of resilience, food and nutrition security and sustainable agriculture in West Africa” (PAGR-SANAD). It includes an overview of the agricultural, food and nutrition situation in the 17 countries of the ECOWAS, UEMOA and CILSS area. It also provides an update on the functioning of markets and the pastoral situation. The analysis is completed by country profiles highlighting key indicators. The analysis is based on the results of the Cadre Harmonisé (CH) and benefits from the technical support of the members of the CH Regional Technical Committee (CILSS, FAO, FEWS NET, IFRC, IPC/GSU, OXFAM, WFP and Save the Children).
