This brochure provides an overview of the food and nutrition situation in 2022. About 23.7 million people are currently in need of immediate food assistance, including 18 million people in Nigeria. The number of acutely food insecure people could rise to 33.4 million during the next lean season (June-August 2022), reaching a new peak.
