ECOWAS is launching a call for bids for the supply and delivery of 1 130 tonnes of cereals to its Regional Food Security Reserve. The aim is to replenish the stocks used in response to the food crisis in Nigeria in 2017. The selected service provider should supply 730 tonnes of millet to the Dosso food stock in Niger, 200 tonnes of white maize and 200 tonnes of white sorghum to the Zinder stock in Niger. In order to promote local production, all cereals must be produced in West Africa. The deadline for submission of tenders is 24 August 2020, 11:00 a.m. (Nigeria time, GMT + 1).
