Rice Sector Support Project (RSSP)
RSSP is an expanded phase of the Lowland Rice Development Project (LRDP 1998-2003) and of the Food Security and Rice Producers Organization Project (FSRPOP 2003-2008) both in Northern Region. Rice production is indeed identified, for some years now, as one of the priorities of the Government of Ghana (GoG) because of the cost that imports represent in order to satisfy a national market which is growing fast.
